High schools plan Chinese link up

High schools plan Chinese link up… Fearns and Haslingden High could soon benefit from a dedicated Chinese classroom following a fact finding Far East tour by the heads.

Both schools employ Catherine Smyth Media to provide press and PR coverage of events at school and in that role publicity was secured in print media and on internet sites. The Rossendale Free Press published the story (read the full article here) the story also on front page of Rossendale Independent and on Ask Rossendale and About My Area websites.

Haslingden Community Link’s 10th anniversary

dorothy_barryHaslingden Community Link’s 10th anniversary… the innovative centre wanted to secure publicity in the Catholic press having been developed out of a former Catholic primary school.

An in depth story was compiled by Catherine Smyth Media along with photographs and the aim of publicising the centre within the Catholic community was achieved.

The Salford Diocese printed the story on its website (read it here) and the story was also in the Catholic press and on Ask Rossendale and About My Area websites.

High school students learn their rights

High school students learn their rights… Alder Grange became one of the first high schools to achieve a prestigious Unicef standard of Rights Respecting Schools.

Catherine Smyth Media linked the story along with a photograph with Sylvia Lancaster, whose daughter Sophie was murdered for dressing differently, and by doing so the story was published in the Lancashire Telegraph at (read it here) and it was also in Rossendale Free Press and on About My Area and Ask Rossendale websites.

The eco-friendly cleaning company

Table Tennis Club win grant

table_tennisA sporting grant enabled a table tennis club in Weir to buy top of the range equipment but they needed to promote themselves.

They also liked the picture so much it was used in flyers for distribution in the area.
